Why Is School Important?

Hmm! Why is school important you say?

Intro 1: School is important because we get to learn all stuff we all haven’t learnt before and most of all we get more knowledge and stuff into our brain so that when we grow up it’s important for us to get a job with all the stuff we learnt from school. It is also important because we get to learn more words and complicated words that we can’t either sound out and it is more important for the younger kids to so they can know their numbers and their maths and other stuff that they learn at school!.

Intro 2: School is important because it gives us students to acquire knowledge on special various fields of education, such as literature, mathematics, politics, history and geography and other numerous subjects that we each get to learn as a student. If we don’t come to school and learn then we are uneducated and we do not have that much skills that function in our brains everyday when we wake up and think that’s why school is important for us!!.

Intro 3: Now this is more important!! When we end up going to school we can grow up to learn how to be the leaders of the school and be a role model in front of the younger students who are going to be the leaders after you finish school and come to visit you’ll see that they have followed your steps and have been a great good role model at the school.

Conclusion: Students that go to school you know might even have a great future and have lots of money and might even help homeless people until they get onto their feet!

TASK DESCRIPTION: Today we had to explain why school is important for us!

Plastic Fantastic.

TASK DESCRIPTION: This week we have been learning about plastic! And what plastic does to our earth.

Tuesday, 13 October 2020

What I have learnt about Plastic.

Today we learned about how plastic can affect humans and harm sea animals/creatures. We learnt that it can cause health issues for us and  the animals in the sea, and what would I mean by that? Once the rubbish truck has taken our plastic bags to where they dump it which is called the "Landfill" once they have dumped it mostly the plastic will be blown away and will end up in the sea/ocean where most animals choke and die from eating it because they think it's food. It also kills our earth which is causing our Mother Nature's land to      look ugly and disgusting, Second answer you've been looking for is how it can affect us human's while sometimes when we buy Toxic Chemical's for stuff it can leach and can probably link us to having Cancer and Birth Defect and lastly it can pollute the air we breathe, How? It's made from Toxic Material's such as Benzene vinyl Hydro chloride.

Ki-O-Rahi.

Today during literacy we went and played Ki-O-Rahi with Room 5 with Tyson and Mrs Vaafusuaga. When we arrived at the court we each got a belt that we had to wrap around our waist and a tag to stick on our belt, we then got seperated so half of room 5 came to us and half of room 1 went over to the other half of room 5. I was in the yellow team and in our first match we versed the purple team they were kinda mixed up with pink tags too, but in our first match we lost against them but we did do pretty good throughout the game with them and it was a good game. Our second match we versed the reddish pinkish team and I say it was also a pretty good game but again we lost in the second match but itless we tried our best on getting scores and trying to win.

Thanks to Mrs Vaafusuaga and Tyson for setting up the game for us Team 5 students.

Restate
Write here: It was fun. I enjoyed it, we were cold at first but as we started running and playing we started to get warmer. Malo e lelei and greetings my name is Jazzelle and I'm an Year 8 student who loves reading books sometimes. Today what I have in my hand is an book that is named Salt&Stone this book is about how One hundred and twenty-two began and only sixty-four remain, There's two characters in here and it is Tella and her brother so Tella made it through the first terrains of the Brimstone Bleed but the contest isn't over yet. If she wants to save her brother, she must face the fierce ocean and the icy mountains, all for the chance of winning the cure, If I were to go on a long trip in the car with my family I would bring this book with me because it has Four-Hundred and Ten pages in this book which I'd be able to read on an long trip, it would be also interesting to find out weather she had won and she had got her brother back.

Choose it Narrative.

Once upon a time on a lovely Friday afternoon there was a little mermaid named clancy she was an ordinary mermaid on that friday afternoon she went swimming so that she could get all the stress out of her mind from the other mermaids, That when she was swimming peacefully out of nowhere she felt like she wanted to go somewhere mystery but her dad wouldn’t let her go out to the shore, she went without telling her parents because she thinks that her parents wouldn't know. So when she went out to the shore she didn’t know where she was heading but she kept on swimming even though she swam like for an hour, but she sure remembered something that her dad told her that there was a portal but he said it like this “when you are older make sure you always be careful and what you do and where you go because there’s a portal inside the middle east ocean that can lead you somewhere, but if you land into a island that looks like a square that means it’s a sign that you should not be there and that nobody has the clue to get out, and I

heard that other people got stuck there and had never came back she replied “why are you telling me this it is so scary I don’t want to hear it anymore” and the dad also replied “it is good for you so you know when your older” so now she’s is 18 years old. But she went and looked at the island, her face just dropped because of the island she saw…. IT WAS THE STORY THAT MY FATHER TOLD ME! She was shocked because she thought it was just a fake story. But she thought again about the story and how her dad said that the people that went there had never came back… she started panicking while she was in the sea, One Hour: after panicking she calm down for a second but she wondered if she could sit down in these was very surprised, because she can’t breathe on the shore so she said to herself “wait what?

How can I breathe on the shore? Do I have powers or something? No, I think I'm in a dream…. She slaps herself so hard that she almost falls into the ground. She thinks of many ways to find a way to get out of the middle east ocean. But she couldn’t so she swam all the way she just came but when she swam it always ended up going the way back to the island she was about so she went to the island and sat down and was about to cry but she just had to snap out of it. So now she is thinking how she felt that she did not follow her dad's rules, so she was so upset that she couldn’t get back to home but luckily her dad was following her the whole time because he knew she would swim out into the shore so he followed her to the island her dad found her crying on the island so he went and swam to there.

When he had finally got there he shouted her name and she looked around and could see that her dad was over there surprisingly looking a little bit upset and angry but he knew he shouldn’t be angry at her so he went on to the island and sat with her and hugged her he told her a story about when he was a little kid, he said when he was a little kid he and his friends were very adventurous they’d like to swim anywhere but not out to the shore one time one of his friends said “hmmm should we swim to shore and come back later lets go explore and have fun” But I said “I don’t really think that's a good idea to go out to the shore you know what could happen” but clancy’s dads friend didn’t care so clancy’s dad’s friend said “ Come on don’t be scared” and his other friends said yeah so his friends went and said “Peace we out” They swam away later on that day and Clancy’s dad stayed back but on that day they went none of his friends came back which was he obviously had a bad feeling that something really bad happened to them and something did and Clancy’s dad ended the story right there and said

“That’s why I’m telling you this story Clancy so that you know not to go out the shore again cause something really mad might happen to you and I never want that to happen to you” And clancy said “i’m sorry I didn’t listen to you dad I should’ve listen to your rules and never went out to the shore” They then gave each other big hugs and Clancy promised her dad she wouldn’t go out to the shore again, Clancy’s dad said “It’s getting a bit late we should hurry and get back home” So Clancy and her dad got off the island and went back home. And Clancy never went out to the shore again…

My Six-Sentence Story

Six-sentence story
Sentence 1: Begins with ‘Once upon a time’ and introduces the main character
Sentence 2: Describes where the character lived

Sentence 3: Describes where the character’s special talent

Sentence 4: Describes the character’s problem

Sentence 5: Tells why the character felt that way

Sentence 6: Tells how the character solved the problem

1. Once upon a time, on a sunny hot morning I woke up and it was very hot, so I decided to go to the beach, I rang my friends, Victoria, Leah and Jayah and Leylani, I asked if they wanted to go to the beach, they replied “Sure“ so I waited for 7 minuties and they had arrived they walked around the beach talking, they settle down onto the sand and remain talking again. Later it was getting late but Jayah said ¨I´m hungry” then leah replied back to Jayah and said “ok l´ll grab a feed” and they said ¨ok¨ but all said together. So the main character is Jazzelle. She has hazel eyes with dark brown hair that’s long, she is 18 years old and has a loving soul with her family and friends.
2. She lives on a beautiful beach but in a 2 story brick house and when she goes outside she can see a lovely view from the outside on the balcony which is astonishing she lives in New Zealand she actually lives in tauranga, and her friends live not far from her when she's bored she can easily go onto the beach she lives near and go for a peaceful walk with the wind breezing through her hair and smelling fresh air and hearing the peaceful waves of the ocean or she either goes for a run on the beach.

4. She lived in a big two story house and lived with her family but unfortunately both of her parents sometimes had full time jobs which often means that Jazzelle stayed home but sometimes if her parents had full time jobs her parents would ask Jazzelle’s friends parents if they had permission to go and have a sleepover at her house she loved staying with her friends which meant they got to stay up and have movie nights and do all sorts of girl stuff.

5. She wished to meet an interesting loving and loyal korean boy, She grew up watching K-Drama which is Korean-Drama she also loved listening and watching Kpop groups her favourite K-Pop group was BTS,IKON,TXT,TWICE,BLACKPINK,EXO and other kpop groups. She said she wanted to travel to korea and try out the new things in korea and also try their cultural food.

6. She then graduated college and worked very hard to save up and finally moved to korea with her friends she couldn’t go by herself so she invited her friends to go with her they moved into an hotel in korea and it was just beautiful so they unpacked their stuff and after they did that Jazzelle went out for a walk and while she was going for a walk she met this korean man who had a similar talent towards her talent he was handsome they then exchanged numbers and started talking about them and getting to know them, They started making their own art gallery company and Jazzelle and her boyfriend moved into an big two story house that it had 7 rooms which was enough for her and her boyfriend and her other friends to fit and just on one spare room.
